Loads the wrist, shoulder. Use a load you can control and skip it if it causes pain.

How to do it

  1. Lie on an incline bench with your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Grip the barbell underhand (palms toward your face), about shoulder-width apart.
  3. Unrack and hold the bar over your chest, then lower it to your lower chest keeping the elbows tucked.
  4. Press the bar back up to full extension.

Tips

  • Use a spotter; the underhand grip is less secure.
  • Keep the wrists stacked over the elbows.
