Loads the elbow. Use a load you can control and skip it if it causes pain.

How to do it

  1. Place an incline bench facing away from a cable pulley with a short straight bar attached.
  2. Lie back and grasp the bar overhead with a narrow overhand grip, elbows bent and pointing up.
  3. Extend your elbows to push the bar forward until your arms are straight.
  4. Slowly return to the bent-elbow start.

Tips

  • Keep your upper arms fixed beside your head.
  • Control the return to avoid elbow strain.
